What is it about?

Iron EDTA is a chemical compound that has been found to increase iron absorption significnatly when added to food. It is particulrly effective in a diet that is rich in phytate and low in meat. This type of diet that is customary in most developing countries. A 40-yeras old regulatory hurdle prevents this benifit for small children (below 24 months of age). The author believes this hurdle can be taken away. Iron EDTA is fully safe for human use.
