Why is it important?

There's a lot of scholarly work on late-Victorian decadence. This essay may help readers find their way through the maze.

Perspectives

I've been fascinated by literary decadence since I read M. John Harrison's 'In Viriconium' and Michael Moorcock's 'The Dancers at the End of Time' at some point in the early 1980s. The rest is (literary) history.
