What is it about?

We have described the progress in synthesis of nanoparticles using actinomycetes for various applications and also have mentioned a few shortcomings that needs to be addressed for improved efficiency.

Why is it important?

Synthesis of nanoparticles using secondary metabolites derived from actinomycetes have not been studied extensively. This review recommends the study of nanoparticle synthesis from secondary metabolites derived from actinomycetes which would have a much better activity when compared to the nanoparticle synthesized from the actinomycetes itself.
