What is it about?

Studies evaluating the effectiveness of using clinical video telehealth to treat obesity are lacking. This study evaluated the outcomes for a weight management program using clinical video telehealth. The study is also unique as it includes people with complex medical conditions and multiple medications. The study also reveals prevention of weight re-gain within one year of treatment. Weight re-gain is a common problem in weight management and finding effective treatments that prevent weight re-gain could greatly impact approaches for obesity treatment. The study also looks at effect of the number of treatment sessions on outcomes.
