Inhaled tea tree oil for fungal and bacterial pneumonia after cyclodextrin inclusion

What is it about?

In this study, we developed an inhalable formulation of tea tree oil that has no possiblity to arise bacterial resistance for treatment of pneumonia. Direct pulmonary delivery of this novel formulation makes it more effective and higher bioavailable than generally adminstration routes (e.g., oral or injection) .

Why is it important?

Fungal or bacterial pneumonia is one of most serious diseases in our world. More and more resistant fungi and bacteria are produced in our environment but we nearly have no effective treatements.
