This article explores the role of parents as active participants in their child's health care. It also identifies the challenges that technology and access to knowledge may present in the parent and doctor relationship.

Perspectives

This is the summary of a literature review supporting "Extraordinary Children". This research asks the question"How do parents and doctors work and relate together when a child has a complex or undiagnosed neurological condition?" This question was designed to identify the processes adopted by parents and doctors, as they work together to find the best possible health outcome for the child in their care.
