What is it about?

Temporomandibular disorders are often overlooked and later on become irreversible in nature and difficult to be treated. Its treatment at an early stage leads to better treatment outcome and patient overall health. This study was all about getting this illness precancerous at young stage and it's correlation with psychology and occlusion, done in Indian population.

17-18%prevalence was seen. Also a significant association of TMD was seen with psychology and occlusion.

Perspectives

This kind of study is rarely done in Indian population. As racial variation can be seen, it needs to be done in other population. T scan was used for measuring occlusion which gives real time measurement.
