Why is it important?
We report the case of a huge endometrioma that began growing 5 years after menopause and extended to just below the diaphragm, although the patient had no history of HRT. Endometriomas generally occur in women of reproductive age. Most endometriomas shrink after menopause. Endometriomas that grow after menopause usually occur in patients on hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
