What is it about?

From a web-based survey, we collected data from French and Spanish people with multiple sclerosis (n=641). We found similar percentages of cannabis-based products users among both sub-populations (~20%). Such users were more likely to suffer from greater disability and pain than non-users. Herb/resin was the most commonly used product.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that multiple sclerosis patients the most in need of relief are likely to use cannabis-based products to alleviate their symptoms, especially herb/resin, regardless of the local legislation.

I hope those results will participate in making the voice of patients heard so that access to safe cannabis-based products will be eased.
