Why is it important?
Lots of interventions are made around improving communication in healthcare, so in order to do this well, we first need to understand what staff who are involved actually believe to be best practice before we can influence their behaviours. Multi-trauma patients have much more complexity and are under significant time pressures, so if we can understand these issues for these patients and staff, then this may be transferable to other patient populations who are less acute
