Why is it important?

This article is important to people teaching student nurses about clinical handovers. It highlights best practice and gaps in the literature.

Perspectives

As a lecturer in an undergraduate nursing course I am always keen to follow best practice in teaching. This article allowed me to examine best practice and to ensure that I was meeting that standard. It also highlighted the need for further research in clinical handover.
