What is it about?

Pyrethroids and neonicotinoids are widely used insecticides. They are thought to act on voltage-gated sodium channels and nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, respectively. We have shown for the first time that imidacloprid (a neonicotinoid) and deltamethrin (a pyrethroid) can also directly act on the insect GABA receptor called Rdl.
