What is it about?

Lupus-associated model were induced by two intraperitoneal injections of 2, 6, 10, 14-tetramethylpentadecane (PRISTANE). We want to characterize the lupus model to find a more powerful translational model.

Why is it important?

SLE is a complex syndrome characterized by diverse clinical manifestations, however, lupus rodent models might not fully reflect the different symptom. To our knowledge, this study is the first report of an associated model in nonhuman primates. This model might aid lupus basic research and the development of new therapies.

Perspectives

This study is a useful exploration of the model of SLE disease. We hope to find more available animal model to aid the SLE treatment .
