What is it about?

Ovarian epidermoid cysts are rare lesions of uncertain origin, which have been diagnosed in humans, rodents, and cattle. A specimen of Astyanax paranae Eigenmann, 1914 had cystic lesions in the gonad. Immunohistochemistry was performed using primary antibodies against mammalian cytokeratin, but did not cross-react. Nevertheless, histological findings supported the diagnosis of ovarian epidermoid cyst.
