What is it about?

This is about how different tools -in this case cytogenetic and molecular data from two mitocondrial gens- are very usefull to idnetify and recognize cryotic species that share the same space and time, technically knows as sympatric species

Why is it important?

This information regard the presence of two cryptic species that coexist in Cubagua and Margarita Island (State of Nueva Esparta) in the northeastern of Venezuela. This is the first time that a cryptic species is recorded -using this tools- for this genera and Order of fishes in Venezuela.

Perspectives

It is a very interesting investigation, this is part of my undergraduated thesis. It was very helpful and I learn a lot with my co-workers in this investigation which I am very thankfull with all of them. Mybest wishes and regards
