What is it about?

Instead of primariil looking at resilience as the ability of a person to cope with demands made on them, we focus on the broader framework in society where health needs are required to be met a flexible health system. We used people with epilepsy as an example where they may have diminished personal resources and where the health system needs to be flexible for lead to healthy outcomes.

Why is it important?

It is important to focus beyond the resources and abilities of individuals and adopt a broader social/political perspective to understand the outcomes of health systems.

Perspectives

We take a broader socio/political perspective on resilience over and above a biological and psychosocial perspectives.
