What is it about?
Bullous pemphigoid is an autoimmune bullous disease of the skin which is associated with a wide range of probable contributing factors. However, few cases have been published in the literature about patients who have received a kidney transplant. We describe two cases of bullous pemphigoid and chronic kidney graft rejection, which became refractory to corticosteroid treatment, requiring immunosuppression and immunoglobulin therapy, however, finally the transplantectomy was successful therapy.
