What is it about?

The study investigates the complex interelationships of variables in a set of clinical data of implant treated patients. It also searches on how implant treated patients cluster on the basis of peri-implant bone level.

Why is it important?

Future peri-implant bone loss can be predicted by learning patterns in data and applying then on unseen new cases. Personalized implant therapy can be based on statistical learning methods.

Perspectives

Principal factors in explaining peri-implantitis variability can be identified by statistical learning methods and predictive models can be generalized after validation on independent samples.
