What is it about?

Quantitative genetic model to incorporate genomic information such that predictions are obtained with uncorrelated pedigree and genomic data.

Why is it important?

Beacause predictors are minimum variance and the covariance matrix can be inverted using simple rules such as for the additive relationship matrix.

Perspectives

The paper is not very technical due to lack of space. Causal distributions are brought into the realm of genetic evaluations, in spite of being using for the animal model without most people knowing about it.
