Empathy in nurse education

What is it about?

Educators need to develop a new set of competencies to improve patient care and reduce distance. The humanities are potential education tool to humanise health students and future practitioners.

Why is it important?

There is increasing evidence that health care practitioners are not a empathic and caring as we would like. It is time to rethink how we are educating the future workforce.
