What is it about?
Production of bio-active plant metabolite by fungal endophytes
Featured Image
Why is it important?
The production of solamargine (found in the host plant) by a cultivable fungal endophyte at a significant yield is a new observation, So it could be utilized for quantitative production of the potent cytotoxic metabolite solamargine. Also this observation ask an important question about how microbial endophytes can produce its host plant secondary metabolites....!!
