What is it about?

strontium zirconate is a potential TBC material to be operated at higher temperatures compared to traditional YSZ

Why is it important?

The second phase ZrO2 in as-sprayed SrZrO3 coating co-doped with Yb2O3 and Gd2O3 can be stabilized and has good phase stability during aging at higher temperatures for long period.

Perspectives

The good properties of the SrZrO3 coating co-doped with Yb2O3 and Gd2O3 makes it possible to be used at higher temperatures for TBC applications.
