What is it about?
This paper looks at the geography of boy racers using Christchurch New Zealand as a case study. It takes a broad approach, looking at the who, why, what, when and where. In particular, it hones in on sub-cultural activities that are not illegal but are considered nuisance and subversive. For these reasons, boy racer behaviour has been regulated out in many spaces, which just serves to relocate the 'problems'. Some less divisive managerial recommendations are offered.
