What is it about?

In this one-page article, we recommend that the American Anthropological Association include collaboration in its discussion of ethics, and that anthropologists think closely about how they can better collaborate with local scholars in a fair and ethical way.

Why is it important?

An important aspect of research ethics is how we collaborate with others. This is especially true for anthropologists, who work closely with people in the communities that they research. It's important that the people we work with be full participants and get full credit for their work.
