What is it about?

Lawson summarizes the explanations about the Crucifixion of Jesus that were given by about 40 Muslim scholars

Why is it important?

He argues that there is not a consensus that Jesus was not crucified, but rather that some Muslim scholars argued that Jesus had been crucified

Perspectives

This finding prompted me to further explore the works of those Muslim scholars who affirmed the crucifixion in order to see if I might be able to find additional support for this finding. Much to my surprise, I found that, properly understood, these scholars did not affirm the crucifixion. My findings are being considered for publication
