Adorno and the Ideal of Organic Totality in Art

What is it about?

Why does Adorno say that the artwork is promise of happiness? How does it relate to the ideas of Stendhal, who made the original remark about beauty, and Baudelaire, who took up the slogan and applied it to art. I throw light on the idea by interpret it in the light of the organicist ideal in German Idealist and Romantic thought from Kant and Schiller onwards.
