Why is it important?

Very few randomised controlled trials (RCTs) have studied the effect of altering salt intake in those with blood pressure below 130mmHg. Most other RCTs include subjects with higher baseline blood pressures. This RCT provides data on potential blood pressure response to salt for people with normal blood pressure.
