What is it about?

In recent years, the search for optimal molecular markers for the evaluation of semen quality has resulted in the increased focus on sperm nuclear DNA assessment. This has led to the development of numerous techniques for the evaluation of nuclear sperm DNA integrity. The primary aim of this article was to review and summarize the effects of freezing procedure on nuclear DNA integrity of boar spermatozoa and to characterize some of the laboratory methods commonly used to assess post-thaw sperm DNA damage.
