Why is it important?
The proposed model is significant because the model incorporates three operations in a single framework while considering realistic issues such as the determination of detailed vehicle routes, and because the proposed heuristics can solve the complicated model in a short time. The paper should be of interest to readers in the areas of logistic optimization, humanitarian relief operations, and heuristics and algorithms of integer programs.
Perspectives
The work presented in this paper is important as, up to my knowledge, it is the first work considers three logistic operations in single framework. Additionally, the heuristics were used to solve the model were able to provide optimal and sub-optimal solution in short computation time.
