Why retirement is not what it used to be

What is it about?

In this paper we draw on descriptive statistics, responses from a Freedom of Information request and interviews to explore retirement in public sector library services. We argue that abolishing the default retirement age has not resulted in individuals being able to make free decisions about when to retire.
