What is it about?

We identified new citrulline containing peptides that are recognized by self reacting antibodies and B cells from reumatoid arthritis (RA) patients.

Why is it important?

A set of these citrullin containing peptides may be used as a diagnostic tool in RA and some of them can target self reactive B cells.

Perspectives

By applying citrullinated peptides we might develop new therapeutic tools for RA.
