What is it about?
Recently, we have fabricated ECOLITE®, (EC), high calcium aluminate cement (CAC) and TiO2 composite beads (EC+CAC+ TiO2 P-25)using a simple and low cost route which is economically viable. With our technique, the reusability of the product is promising and the volume can be easily scaled up to achieve a practical application.

Why is it important?
To our knowledge, this is the first report showing a novel photocatalytic composite which is highly effective in the degradation of cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) under UV irradiations.
Perspectives
We believe that our findings would provide a new idea for treatment of industrial wastewaters.
