Why is it important?
Correlations between the various metamorphic units in the central Philippines are largely based on guesswork due to lack of radiometric age constraints. Though our work reveals more questions than answer, it shows that the metamorphic units do not form a uniform metamorphic basement.
Perspectives
The study of metamorphic rocks in the central Philippines has just started- in particular age data is scarce. We have started a program to attack this lack of data.
