Why is it important?

Describes how parents in allied teletherapy sessions perform evaluations of the allied health professional’s rapport with parent and child, effort in providing information and partnering with the parent. The findings align with research on therapeutic alliance, providing insights into its development. These findings may assist adaptations of teletherapy design and delivery to improve parent/caregiver therapeutic alliance, engagement and hence the targeted results of telecare/teletherapy sessions . The therapist can evaluate and improve important aspects that can be undervalued or ignored in videoconferencing mediated paediatric interventions.
