What is it about?

Stephen Law has brought a challenge against theism by arguing that it is just as likely that an evil god exists as it is that the all-good God of traditional theism exists. Theists defend God's existence using theodicies that show God's goodness is compatible with the existence of evil. But Law says that for every theodicy, there is an equally likely reverse theodicy that could be used to show there exists an omnimalevolent god. This paper discusses Stephen Law's evil-god challenge and argues that the challenge fails in light of the philosophical theology of Thomas Aquinas.
