What is it about?

The study shows that depression and anxiety increases on dialysis days compared to non-dialysis days, particularly in women.

Why is it important?

It can help patients understand the source of their sadness, which can help coping. Similarly, health workers will be made aware of this cyclicity and can help patients cope, as well as themselves.

Perspectives

This study was inspired by the father of one of the authors, who was on dialysis in Dr Armaly's clinic.
