Why is it important?
More than 95% of treatment in the developing world is now on demand. We worked out a simple strategy for prophylaxis in real world setting which can be emulated quite easily in a resource poor setting
Perspectives
This publication is on our experience on a cohort of children with haemophilia with low dose factor VIII and IX prophylaxis. The background was resource limitation. The result showed, tht prophylaxis, even in low doses, is far superior to on demand treatment. We believe this is a model which the developing world can emulate
