What is it about?
VES is simple, easy and cheap geophysical technique to characterize the intermixing of fresh-saline water aquifers successfully. Previously, the aquifer zones were identified by expensive methods such as borehole. So, this technique can be a good alternative of other expensive methods.

Why is it important?
VES geophysical technique is the simplest and cheapest of all available methods to differentiate the aquifer conditions especially the fresh-saline characteristics.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article is can be very useful to conduct the cheapest geophysical survey where the fresh-saline water cannot be assessed because of expensive tools.
