Effect of an oral healthcare protocol in nursing homes on care staffs' knowledge and attitude

What is it about?

To improve the oral health care for nursing home residents we need to improve the knowledge and attitude of the care staff. Our study looked at the impact of introducing an oral health care protocol including education on these two parameters. We found that knowledge scores increase easily but that changing attitude is more complex and independent from knowledge improvement.
