How a medication to lengthen eye lashes can have additional effects on the eye itself.

What is it about?

Any product used around the eye has the potential to migrate and disrupt the ocular surface. This study evaluated the effect of an eyelash-lengthening product, LATISSE, on the stability of the tear film and corresponding structures.

Why is it important?

Patient education is always key in communicating any potential effects that a product may have on the eye.
