What is it about?

A tribute to the courageous women and men of the Middle East, set in Jerusalem. Women and men can work together to solve the world's problems. The legend is an example that starts in the 1st century Christian communities and has lasted until today. This article considers the unique relationship among women and men portrayed by Jesus and Veronica in this legend. Originally told through oral communication, it has lasted for over 2,000 years. Jesus loved his followers and in turn Veronica wiped his face on the way to Calvary. They were compassionate companions. Synergy between the two genders, in this instance, Jesus and Veronica, fosters a new way of relating to each other in the equality of a shared humanity. The hermeneutics for humanity in this article is developed through midrash, the exegesis of Jesus' time to understand scripture, history, art, poetry, literature, spirituality, and science.

Why is it important?

Feminist alert us to the fact that women and children lack shelter and food and men are usually the first to die in wars. Nobody wins. Working together would come closer to resolving the greatest of all conflicts, that between men and women since the Stone Age with a hermeneutics for humanity.

Perspectives

My perspective on women and men being and behaving together, peacefully come from my 46 years of a great marriage!
