What is it about?

Various techniques of constructing a loop stoma have been described. Most involve use of a rod or bridge to support the stoma. This paper tries to show that the rod is not necessary and perhaps detrimental.

I was pleased to see that this well conducted trial proved what was a feeling I had about the stoma rod.
