What is it about?

It is a poilt randomized controlled clinical trial reporting the early failure, implant staiblity and patient-centered outcomes of short-6-mm implants and longer implants following ostetotome sinus floor elevation

Why is it important?

The study showed similar early failure rate and implant stability of short and longer implants when placed in moderate resorbed posterior maxilla (6mm<RBH<10mm). In addtion, superior results of patienti-centered outcomes were found in short implant group.

Perspectives

I think the present clinical trial may help to confirm the predictablility of short-6-mm implants in posterior maxilla.
