Why is it important?
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) affects at least 50% of men by the age of 50 years, and up to 70% of all men in later life. Thus, development of new products for AGA treatment is one of the most attractive opportunities for the cosmetic industry.
Perspectives
I hope that icariin, the main component extracted from Epimedium Herba, may improve hair growth through a variety of mechanisms.
