Why is it important?

Many problems facing society today require the involvement of scientists from many disciplines. Because many of these issues affect children and youth in some way, it is important to involve development scientists in these efforts.

I hope this article will inspire developmental scientists to get involved in interdisciplinary research that will impact on the life experiences and well being of children and youth around the world.
