What is it about?
Inflammatory bowel diseases is an emerging health problem with rising prevalence worldwide. The current study demonstrated for the first time that TRPV4 was upregulated in vascular endothelial cells under inflammatory conditions and this upregulation contributed to the progression of colonic inflammation by increasing vascular permeability.
