What is it about?

A class of anti-diabetic drugs referred as gliptins have been shown to exert unpredicted beneficial effects on renal function. However, how they act remains unclear. Here we demonstrate that linagliptin (a member of this class) can affect behavior of human renal cells. Our results may explain some of the therapeutic effects of these drugs.
