Perspectives
Treatment of prostate cancer is generally successful because most patients are cured. However prostate cancer is also the second leading cause of deaths in adult men. Some patients do not need treatmnt at all. In contrast, patients with prostate cancer and lymph node etastases is a heterogeneous group where some patients will gain from from surgery and radiotherapy whereas other patients remain cured by surgery alone.
