Mobile teledermoscopy allows consumers to take and send images of skin lesions to a teledermatologist for diagnosis. However, not enough data about technology acceptance are available.

Why is it important?

While most (87%) participants agreed mobile teledermoscopy would improve their skin self-examination performance nearly half (45%) of participants were unsure, if they had complete trust in the telediagnosis.


Trust in virtual services -- not just in the health arena -- seems to be a major factor.
