What is it about?
Patient satisfaction with the esthetic outcomes was higher and treatment outcomes were equivalent to those of the multi-port approach when single-incision laparoscopic Heller–Dor surgery was performed adequately and combined with the use of thin supportive devices.

Why is it important?
Single-incision laparoscopic surgery can potentially improve esthetic outcomes without adversely affecting treatment outcomes; however, these outcomes are uncertain in laparoscopic Heller–Dor surgery. We determined if the degree of patient satisfaction with esthetic outcomes progressed with the equivalent treatment outcomes after the introduction of a single-incision approach to laparoscopic Heller–Dor surgery.
